About Red Pepper Forge

The art of blacksmithing, shaping metal into beautiful and useful items, is an ancient practice, and one that Jim Bomba has been performing for decades. Jim's early beginnings with anvil and forge as a hobby date back to1978, when he practiced his craft in a small forge he built to resemble a blacksmith shop in Colonial Williamsburg-complete with a raised brick hearth outfitted with an overhead bellows to feed the soft-coal fire and a hood to carry away the smoke.

Today the Bomba family operates a 7,000 square foot state-of-the-art metalworking shop in North East, Maryland. The name Red Pepper Forge comes from Jimmy Bomba's love of hot, spicy red peppers, and his bright pepper-and-anvil logo is a symbol of quality that is known far and wide in the industry. The forge serves Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as outlying regions, and provides custom metal work for architects, builders and homeowners.

From candle holders and hooks to huge estate gates with automatic openers, Red Pepper Forge has the capability to handle any size project in steel, brass, bronze, or aluminum. Please visit Our Shop for specific information about our equipment and capabilities.
